根據日媒《EE Times Japan》報導，全球唯一專注於半導體創業團隊的加速器與育成機構Silicon Catalyst，於2025年11月在日本設立其亞洲首間法人機構 Silicon Catalyst Japan，並同步將台灣與韓國納入戰略輔導區域，未來將協助本地新創團隊從創業早期到資金對接，加速進軍全球半導體供應鏈。
總部位於美國的Silicon Catalyst自2015年成立以來，已經成功孵化逾150家半導體與深科技（Deep Tech）新創公司，包含光子學（Photonics）、晶粒模組（Chiplet）、量子運算（Quantum）等領域。累計輔導企業總市值已突破5,000億日圓（約1,100億元新台幣）。
該機構透過結合半導體業界專家組成的顧問團，協助團隊精進技術驗證、商業模式、募資路徑與產業鏈對接。其合作網絡遍及英美、以色列與亞太地區，擁有多家跨國IC設計與晶圓代工廠支援。
新設立的Silicon Catalyst Japan不僅聚焦日本本地創業團隊，也明確將韓國與台灣納入輔導範圍，將協助具潛力的半導體與深科技新創團隊進行國際化推進，並提供財務支援與政府資源媒合。
根據日本官方規劃，目前已有數項政府導向的補助與投資計畫聚焦半導體產業，包括設備補助、材料研發與人才輸出，但申請流程複雜。Silicon Catalyst Japan將扮演中介橋梁角色，協助新創簡化流程、對接資金與策略夥伴。
Silicon Catalyst Japan執行長圓城寺啓一指出，隨著半導體微縮技術逼近物理極限、功耗需求日益提升，全球產業更需依賴跨境整合創新。「美國的IC設計實力與亞洲在材料與製造技術上的優勢，正是實現技術突破的關鍵」，並強調Silicon Catalyst正是連結這些創新點的最佳平台。圓城寺透露，該機構計畫於2026年3月17日舉辦針對新創的說明會，未來也將在亞洲地區擴大舉辦各類創業活動與媒合會。
